Catwalk Tour
If you schedule just a catwalk tour, it's 1.5 hours on the catwalk above our production floor.
You'll see each of our 4 major areas: Stamping, Body Construction, Paint Shop, and Trim & Final.
- Stamping: Steel and aluminum pieces get stamped into actual car parts using huge Transfer
Presses.
- Body Construction: Watch those pieces get welded together using over 1,600 robots.
- Paint: Watch a short paint video of the entire paint process.
- Trim & Final: Final assembly (Subaru driving off the final line) and quality inspection
before it gets shipped out.
Our catwalk tours are at 9am and 11am and they last 1.5 hours.
No Lunch is offered for Catwalk tours.
No restrooms or seating areas are available for the duration of the tour.
S.E.E. Tour (Subaru Education Experience)
- If you schedule the S.E.E Tour, they are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. 1/2 of the
trip is spent in our Learning and Discovery Lab onsite. (Please see the flyer
for this S.E.E Tour attached!)
- We have 4 hands-on, STEM-related stations that all tie back into jobs/careers at SIA and
manufacturing. A normal schedule is for the students to spend 30 minutes at each station,
depending on the number of students they're divided into smaller groups and rotating through
these stations.
- The only cost for this trip is if you choose to have lunch in our Cafeteria.
